| |
| Film festival hit "Post Concussion" opens
at Toronto's Cineplex Odeon Carlton Cinemas on April 6,
2001 before rolling out to major cities across Canada
and the U.S. First-time filmmaker Daniel Yoon's irreverant,
semi-autobiographical tale of redemption-through-brain-trauma
is a brutally funny, unsentimental yet oddly inspiring
portrayal of one man's journey after a serious head injury.
"Post Concussion" is expected to run for two
weeks at the Carlton before screening at other locations
to be announced. |
| |
| "Post Concussion" has been quietly building
an impressive following at over a dozen small but prestigious
international festivals, charming critics and audiences
alike with its grace, humour and intelligence. Among the
film's awards is the famed Taos Land Grant Award - five
acres of land in Taos, New Mexico - awarded by the Taos
Talking Pictures Festival. |
| |
| "Post Concussion" is being distributed
theatrically in Canada by Continuities Distribution, which
has also recently distributed Jon Crier's "Went to Coney
Island On a Mission from God - Be Back By Five", and Margaret
Cho's extraordinary "I'm The One That I Want." |
